Orchestra

“When we listen to an orchestra, what we listen to is not just the sound of the oboe, or the timpani, or the violin, the cello, or the vocalist.

What we hear are the sounds of life. The life of the violinist, the heartbeat of the cellist, the struggles of the concert master, the character of the timpanist, the personality, love, and sorrows of the maestro.

We pay homage to the sweat, the tears, the fears, and the triumphs of each individual making us music.

We patronise their persistence and resilience.”
