Show Glass
I am on a trip to exploring who Sandra C. Obiora used to be a decade ago! This poem was written 11.01.2010 – 8 whole years ago.
Is it desolation or mere isolation when
There is a demarcation between you,
And the others you call peers?
It appears that they are on the other side,
And you, with you and yourself on the
Spectators end.
One against a thousand,
Is far too unfair, and
It must be this way because you are different.
Or maybe, you are unique.
but If you were unique, then they will turn around.
But why?
Why do they go on with their lives as though
You do not exist?
Why is the demarcation transparent?
It could just be painted black,
It could be a mirror, reflecting you,
Making you appear more than they are.
Creating for you the illusion
That you are indeed with your peers.
But why?
Why does it have to be a glass?
A glass through which you can watch their every move,
Their oblivious faces,
Faces that so innocently show, that
They do not recognize you?
I ask you this time.
Are you in desolation or isolation?

“His voice brings me back slowly but surely to that moment
Pelayo
It is my birthday today. Maybe no one will remember me.
Yet I am happy within and so thankful to God for the life He has given me.
I know life is not easy and it shouldn’t always be. It may test me, judge me, but may lead me to several results.
One day has value. One hour has much more than that. One minute is even better, and each second given to reading this is perhaps the most valuable gift to me.
So give value to life now, you can change it or it may change you.
~ Thoughts by Pelayo
Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are past away. Behold all things have become new.
~ 2 Corinthians 4:17

“It is neither my wish to keep you waiting nor to wait for you.
It is obviously a better option for us to meet somewhere in the middle.”

I am like…
“I am like a moth to the flame of a beautiful soul.
A bee to the scent of a flowering heart.
A predator to the prey of negativity
A David to the Goliath of helplessness.
A Paul to the ministry of repentance.
A triumphant student to the lessons of life.
Water to the wilderness of the dying mind.”
~ Sandra C. Obiora

Wisdom Fight
“Choosing to be positive, content, and welcoming in character instead of being constantly discontented, negative, and a complainer, is referred to by some people as the ‘wisdom of life’.
However, I have found that this is easy to comprehend, yet very difficult to execute. For complaining is second nature to man. Therefore we must fight each day with our second nature, lest we become sour losers.”
~ Sandra C. Obiora

Father Mine
Fathers are a little more than a gift from God.
Blessed is that lady whose father has shown her how a man should be.
Blessed is she whose father hugs and kisses her daily.
The one whose father said to her:
“you shall be great”. “Greatness is your name.”
Blessed is that one whose father taught her to clean, to cook, to make the bed, to be organized, to keep to time, to be kind, to be giving, to be humble, to be respectful.
Blessed is that lady whose dad calls her ‘my princess‘. Who tells her ‘you are beautiful’. ‘You are a gift from God to me’.
Whose father never challenged her gender. Whose father said to her ‘blessed are you among men’. Whose father prays over her life.
Blessed is that woman whose husband is loved by her father.
Blessed is she whose father is a lover of her mother.
Blessed is she who learns what a home should be.
For she will be great. ‘She will not stand before mean men’.
So blessed am I for the divine gift of a father. Blessed be God for this great man in my life. One so irreplaceable. So kind, so loving, so blessed, so gifted, such a gift.
Happy Father’s day my darling father.
I love you daddy. You are more than an enigma.
Grey Skies
I love grey skies. I celebrate the melancholy of them.
I know that many may count this a fault.
How can you love something so depressing?
How do you not feel blue at the sight of so much grey? I am asked.
So I respond.
Mental Boost
“If anyone makes you feel less than you actually are, less important, less cool, less awesome.
If in any way they make you question your value in life at the innermost part of your being, or when you are alone,
then they need to go. Simple.
You need every mental second you have to think of amazing things and dwell on amazing people.”

Most Poetic Lyrics of 2017
I confess I overplayed this song because I am overwhelmed by it’s poetic genius. The Writers said it took almost a year just to get the lyrics right. I believe them! ~ Check out the song itself once you can! here are the outstanding lyrics!

God of creation
There at the start
Before the beginning of time
With no point of reference
You spoke to the dark
And fleshed out the wonder of light
And as You speak
A hundred billion galaxies are born
In the vapour of Your breath the planets form
If the stars were made to worship so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made
Every burning star
A signal fire of grace
If creation sings Your praises so will I
God of Your promise
You don’t speak in vain
No syllable empty or void
For once You have spoken
All nature and science
Follow the sound of Your voice
And as You speak
A hundred billion creatures catch Your breath
Evolving in pursuit of what You said
If it all reveals Your nature so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You say
Every painted sky
A canvas of Your grace
If creation still obeys You so will I
If the stars were made to worship so will I
If the mountains bow in reverence so will I
If the oceans roar Your greatness so will I
For if everything exists to lift You high so will I
If the wind goes where You send it so will I
If the rocks cry out in silence so will I
If the sum of all our praises still falls shy
Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times
God of salvation
You chased down my heart
Through all of my failure and pride
On a hill You created
The light of the world
Abandoned in darkness to die
And as You speak
A hundred billion failures disappear
Where You lost Your life so I could find it here
If You left the grave behind You so will I
I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done
Every part designed in a work of art called love
If You gladly chose surrender so will I
I can see Your heart
Eight billion different ways
Every precious one
A child You died to save
If You gave Your life to love them so will I
Like You would again a hundred billion times
But what measure could amount to Your desire
You’re the One who never leaves the one behind

~Perspective Shift~
Everywhere and anywhere
In different shapes and shades,
Nevertheless, the most unique living creature on this planet!

Some see her as an object
While some see her as a life force.
For she lays seamlessly at the heart of existence;
The world itself will be null and void without her.
She is a life giver yet deadly,
Pleasure giver yet a pressurizer,
It all depends on you.

It is time to behold not just her physical beauty, but the workings of her very being.
It is time to see the potential, creativity, and gifts.
The uniqueness, the greatness and the brilliance within her that shines like the sun.
Speak life into her and see life in yourself.
Give her all your attention and enjoy a life of undiluted peace.
Bless her and enjoy a blissful home.

Yet, he has failed to realize that real variety is in one woman
For a woman can be likened to this planet,
Your location determines your experience and allocation.
Have you enjoyed the variety she has to offer?
Have you been through her skies, seas, and dry lands?
Before you make your conclusion about her, travel the length and breadth of her planet.

World Peace
“The grandiose notion of achieving world peace is a phenomenon highly dependent not on societies, but rather on each individual’s actions and reactions to their everyday realities.”
~ Sandra C. Obiora

In Twenty Days
“In twenty days, the crowded Earth became as empty as Mars.
In this time, the moon became blood, and the sand became red.
For the one I knew so well, became the one I know no more.
The thoughts I used to daily think, are now the thoughts I think no more.
The feelings I used to dwell on, are now the things I feel no more.
The plans we then did make, are plans I have no more.
For in just twenty days, the population of earth was traded for the wild storms of Mars.
The false comfort of ‘friendship’ turned into the
Magnificent brilliance and hum of a truly silent planet.”

Ego My Dear
Many are the mental struggles of mankind.
Daily we fight wars for and against our fragile egos.
For if we will just accept that we feel what we feel, and we feel it how we feel it,
without first putting up an act or pretense,
We can therefore begin the game of loose and keep.
We can then dispose of that we must dispose of, and build on that which must be built.
We can then correct that which needs be corrected,
and discard that silly thing called ego and pride.

Life Stages
~ Poem by Sandra C. Obiora (28.05.2018) ~
Today, I wished dearly for time to pause.
I yearned earnestly for just this cause.
That I may simply hold onto this quickly passing moment.
If only to make it slower, to grab a hold of it and shout, Pause!
