Apoetsbrain Devotionals #3: Noah’s Plans

But I will establish My covenant with you, and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. ~ Gen6:18

In life, we all have different ways of thinking, planning, and deciding on the things we need to do and how we need to do them.

Some people are guided to make plans based on their circumstances, others make them based on what other people around them are doing, while some make plans based on God’s plan. Noah was of the latter category of people. He fashioned his life according to God’s will and purpose for it. The issue is that in Noah’s time, he was the only one whose plans mattered in the picture of eternity.

I can imagine how occupied everyone else was as they went about their worldly realities. Things like working for money, shelter, food. Marrying and being given into marriage, partying, competing, and so on must have really mattered to them. Yet, they were all not attuned to the fact that something grand was being set up somewhere around them. Ask yourself today, am I the Noah in the story? Or am among the rest who were not attuned to God’s will and plans ? It is time to make God’s ways your ways. God’s plans your plans. God’s thoughts your thoughts. God bless you.
