Something-ness

“There is a something ness in the nothingness of space.

Something loud and noisy in the silence of emptiness.

A loud exclamation and proclamation telling us each time that in this nothingness is a something ness that has existed even before time itself.

A nothingness full of something-ness.”

One Day of Hardwork

“If attaining a bright and successful future required just one full day of focus and purposefulness, everyone would be wildly successful.

However, the sad truth is that success requires and involves multiple, and sometimes miserable moments of little yet correct choices.

Success is really just the sum of usually small but mighty decisions made and then executed.”

Her Beauty

6

Every lady has her own appeal…

Her beauty lies in the details.

Only those who have genuinely searched for it can find it.
Only those who have found it can try to comprehend the beauty that is her creation.

Only those desperate to shelter it are deserving enough to grab onto the gold that holds the power to decorate one’s destiny.”

~Perspective Shift~

Woman! Oh Woman! thou art precious!
Everywhere and anywhere
In different shapes and shades,
Nevertheless, the most unique living creature on this planet!

Some see her as an object
While some see her as a life force.
For she lays seamlessly at the heart of existence;
The world itself will be null and void without her.

Your perspective about her is directly proportional to your experience
She is a life giver yet deadly,
Pleasure giver yet a pressurizer,
It all depends on you.

Man! Oh Man! It is time for your perspective to shift.
It is time to behold not just her physical beauty, but the workings of her very being.
It is time to see the potential, creativity, and gifts.
The uniqueness, the greatness and the brilliance within her that shines like the sun.

Love your woman and you will find true joy.
Speak life into her and see life in yourself.
Give her all your attention and enjoy a life of undiluted peace.
Bless her and enjoy a blissful home.

One man said ‘But variety is the spice of life’.
Yet, he has failed to realize that real variety is in one woman
For a woman can be likened to this planet,
Your location determines your experience and allocation.

Have you toured the world of your woman?
Have you enjoyed the variety she has to offer?
Have you been through her skies, seas, and dry lands?
Before you make your conclusion about her, travel the length and breadth of her planet.

In Twenty Days

cropped-pexels-photo-1070383.jpeg

“In twenty days, the crowded Earth became as empty as Mars.

In this time, the moon became blood, and the sand became red.

For the one I knew so well,  became the one I know no more.

The thoughts I used to daily think, are now the thoughts I think no more.

The feelings I used to dwell on, are now the things I feel no more.

The plans we then did make, are plans I have no more.

For in just twenty days, the population of earth was traded for the wild storms of Mars.

The false comfort of ‘friendship’ turned into the

Magnificent brilliance and hum of a truly silent planet.”

Ego My Dear

Many are the mental struggles of mankind.

Daily we fight wars for and against our fragile egos.

For if we will just accept that we feel what we feel, and we feel it how we feel it,

without first putting up an act or pretense,

We can therefore begin the game of loose and keep.

We can then dispose of that we must dispose of, and build on that which must be built.

We can then correct that which needs be corrected,

and discard that silly thing called ego and pride.

~Hope and Despair~

~ Featured work by Muhammad Shehzad Hanif~

The days go restless, the nights sleepless.
I seek for you around but fail to guess,
My heart skipped a beat or two.
But my anxious eyes still have no clue….

The wind goes wild and rough on my face.
Autumn leaves come down falling apace.
All the birds have gone past long before.
They will not come to the nests for sure.

When the rays of hope turn to despair,
and the night of sadness prevailing everywhere.
The heart melts down my eyes through,
How much I miss you; I can’t tell you..!!

Gazing on to the sky, I caught a shooting star
I thought of you being so so far
Down, it calms; at a whispering sound.
“Your love will soon be coming around”

Human and Spirit

Did you know that you are Spirit that lives in flesh?

If you follow the flesh, and  simply follow the humanity you feel, it is  risky.

For the human you are seated within is proud and always wanting.

The human never stops needing.

It never gives up on its pleasures. The human you are in is truly ‘only human’.

Yet, the spirit that you are has great control.

It possesses self discipline. It is ruled by conscience.

It knows morale and it is eternal. The spirit you are will continue after time.

The spirit you are can step over the human and become superhuman, supernatural!

Be the spirit, not the flesh.

~The Opinion~

So he thought to have a glance.

Just a glance of an artwork she’d posted

To feast his itching eyes

In reading such bold poetic lines.

A little touch here and there

He thought to his little self.

A little touch on this poem

Could do much to really help.

His words carried clouds of weight

With pure intentions and without a bait

Her creative instincts were ignited

And she set off to do some work

The page was duly updated

And the laughter was everywhere smeared

An expression of a little thought

Of an idea conceived,

Coupled with a positive mindset of a poet

That made such a dream come alive…

So dream and think and share

And don’t be scared to be here

The future is but an idea

Of an Opinion to be shared.~

Poem: Another Love

I want a love that never dies.
Love that is not restless and full of lies. Not a love that is proud and full of contempt.
You told me that you love me. Yet i see that your love is selfish.

Your love is just there so you can get a good sleep at night.

Your love has no concern for my joy.
Your love has no concern for my peace of mind.
Your love is in the knowledge you derive from authority.
Your love is one that only pushes to prosperity.
It does not taste of sweetness.

It tastes of grease.

Your love is like the scrapping of a nail across the wall.
It is like the sound of a machine ridden with friction.
Your love does not taste like honey. It tastes like scented candle wax.

It does not feel like home, it feels like faux pas.

Yet, i did gain a lot from your brand of love.
From your temperamental love i learnt to control my temperament.
From your insensitivity i learnt to be sensitive.
From your earnest pride and thirst for power, i learnt the art of subtlety and humility.
From your many words, i listened for silences.
From your silences i heard a thousand words.

From your manipulation i learnt resistance.

Now however, i am venturing into a new love.
I am panting to achieve a love that never dies.
A love that is not selfish. A love that is not manipulative.
A love that is mutual. A love that understands. Not a love that is always right, or a love that dies at the blink of an eye.
I need a love that is powerful. One that can’t be shaken. A love that is proud but humble. subtle but sweet. One that tastes like honey and berries. Not of grease and dust.

Birthdays are a blessing.

For they point us towards realizing those ones we adore.

They make us stop in time to appreciate the wonders of being created for a purpose.

For at one moment God said let there be Sandy, and then there was.

Happy birthday to me! I am growing cooler! 😉

True Laughter

Have you laughed? I mean really truly laughed.

You know the type that starts from your feet making your toes curl. That one that travels up your legs making them shake like a leaf in the wind.

That laughter that boils up in your belly like steam in an enclosed space looking for a way out. That one that literally causes you pain until you open your throat and let it all out and open.

That type of laughter that bursts out like a gush of wind producing a sound which for that moment in time brings with it an amnesia of all the things causing you pain and worry.

So tell me. Have you ever truly laughed?

New Skin By Samuel Balyejusa

“People do not resist change because they do not like it.
We love change, we get new haircuts every now and then, we change our clothes daily and we are always eager to try the newest restaurant in town.
People resist change because they don’t understand it.

It is paramount that we learn to embrace change because that is the very essence of learning. Without learning, we stagnate only for the ever changing world to catch up with us and force us to change; usually under much less favorable circumstances.

Take the steps to embrace change and avoid being forced to change as soon as what you know is no more.”

En~Courager

“Sometimes, we already know all the lines. Believe me, we know.

We know that our suffering will not last for a lifetime.

We know that our struggles will end someday soon.

We know that tomorrow may truly be better.

We understand that a happy disposition is better than a sad one.

We realize that our pain will heal and fade away.

Yet,

blur casual christmas lights close up

We still need someone to say to us ‘don’t worry. don’t be sad. don’t cry’. We still want to hear the words ‘everything will be okay’.

Hearing the phrase ‘tomorrow will be better’ awakens our spirit and gets us on our feet.

having someone say to us ‘Do not be afraid’, ‘be of good cheer my friend, my brother, my sister, my neighbor’ never gets old.

Finally when they say to us ‘it is well with you’, our hearts begin to soar in the clearer skies of relief.

Believe me, this world can never tire for an oversupply of encouragers.”

Staircases

“Going up and down staircases is metaphorical for life. For descending and spiralling down in failure and sin is easier and a far cry from the difficulty of climbing up to the zenith. Taking one difficult and mostly agonizing step at a time is the battle.

Now, if on the way up we choose to hang on to, or carry with us baggage, we must be ready to spend a while on the way up, or handle the mediocrity that comes with neither going downwards or heading upwards.”
