Be Thankful

A Poem written by Ayivi Williams © All rights reserved

Be thankful for what you have.
You have got all the things that you want.
Others do not have half of what you have.
Yet, you still want to go in for what they’ve got.

Be careful never to covet what your friends have.

Covetousness always leads to bitterness.
Relax my dear friend
Life is not a race.
Remember, it doesn’t matter the type of car you drive, the road remains the same.

It doesn’t matter your qualification, the size of your grave remains the same.

Embrace what you have with a thankful heart.
Make no room for covetousness.
Be happy for your friends who have succeeded in life.
Be patient and wait for your turn.

They will be happy for you when you are also successful in life.

Do not judge others by race or colour.
But by the content of their character.
You do not have to be a superhero to get what you want.
What you have will make you a superhero.

So be thankful for what you have.

Value your friends.
Treat them well as they will also treat you the same.
You need them.
They also need you.

Remember, everybody needs somebody.

Life is always beautiful with beautiful friends
Be sincere and appreciate friends
Learn to value and keep friends
Because they don’t come into your life by accident

There is a purpose for everyone in your life
